What is your irrational belief?

To this day, I always make sure, that I never stamp upon a Red Ant even accidentally. My (ir)rational belief is that the poor creature’s friends or family would somehow sniff me out and come back for revenge.
My feelings could be funny for most people, but I wouldn't call this belief totally irrational, because it had developed after lots of childhood trials and experiments. Whenever I stepped one or two or three of them intentionally or unintentionally, I would have the exact number of ant bite sores somewhere on my body within a day's time. Sometimes I would trample one very far away from home just as an experiment, then run back home and sit locked in a room thinking they definitely wouldn't get me this time - but somehow they just did. They'd find me, and they'd bite me.
One more silly belief is that if I bought something new without the existing belongings completely wearing off, for eg: A pen or a cellphone; sensing the replacement the older articles would suddenly stop working without a valid reason. As if they're hurt for being replaced.
So yeah, you can call me weird now.
